First Time 4H Kite

My 8 year old son wanted to build a kite for 4H. I thought oh this will be good. I was hesitant on building a kite because I didn't think it would fly.

I found your website and thought that the kites you mentioned seemed easy and wouldn't take a lot of time. He was so proud to make this kite and the whole time I was thinking, I hope this doesn't let him down.

When it finally got complete, we went outside about 9:00 p.m. and it was a beautiful evening. The wind was blowing just enough and the sun was setting with a half moon in the sky.

He lifted his kite up and held the string and away it went. No troubles at all. He had a big smile on his face. Thank you for putting these directions online for us to find. We are going to try to make another one!
